Our engineered timber doors not only look great but have been designed to withstand the harsh South African climate. With a strengthened engineered core, the internal structure of the doors has been constructed from multi-laminated hardwood timbers to form a rigid core structure that reduces warping and twisting. The doors are also covered with a 2mm veneer outer skin to ensure the visual aesthetic of the door stays as beautiful as ever. The raised and fielded paneling offers both quality and style.

The door is supplied untreated. The recommended treatment is a deep penetrating oil sealer. Not varnish. 

Prior to installation, the doors should be stored flat on a level surface in a dry ventilated area. Doors need to be sealed properly on all six sides immediately after delivery and before installation. The sealing of the timber is essential to limit the periodic movement of moisture in and out of wood, causing the cell walls to swell and shrink. Without the correct protection and maintenance, over time the timber will crack, split and warp. It is therefore of the utmost importance to seal the end grains at the top and bottom of the door where most of the absorption and loss of moisture takes place.
